Footnotes to Plato … and others

Journal comparison

How different scholarly communities divide their attention across a work — pick a text and two sets of journals, and compare their emphasis passage by passage.

Pick a work, then two sets of journals. The chart shows, for each passage or book, how much more one set's citations concentrate on it than the other's — a positive bar where Set A leans in, a negative bar where Set B does. Shares are computed within the period you select, so this is emphasis, not raw volume.
